One if by Land, Two if by Sea....

Lanterns....not a new invention, but they seem to be making a comeback in our homes. I am so grateful we don't depend on them for light! (Although, during the February ice storm, we did have to get out our battery-operated camping lantern as we did lose power.) Lanterns, or display boxes, make great decorative pieces. And, at Home Sweet Home we seem to be collecting them. We have nice, clean-cut perfect ones...and we have distressed, old metal, looks like they just came from the barn ones.
