Small Business Saturday

First there was Black Friday, then Cyber Monday. Now, there is Small Business Saturday on November 26th - the Saturday after Thanksgiving. This event was started by American Express last year to promote a day when we "shop small", coming together to celebrate America's small businesses. This is a day dedicated to supporting small businesses on one of the busiest shopping weekends of the year. To encourage people to shop our small town on that day, the retail businesses in St. Ansgar are also having a drawing for $50 in chamber dollars. Anyone who makes a purchase on that day (and Sunday, November 27th) can enter their name into the drawing to win. Home Sweet Home, as well as many of St. Ansgar's other businesses, will also be having in-store promotions. So let us offer you small-town friendliness and great customer service and free gift wrapping and easy parking and carryout service with no pushing or shoving or long lines.
